The final Ayla book is coming out next spring! Woot! I read THE CLAN OF THE CAVE BEAR when I was twelve, and the entire series was pretty much my gateway drug to romance novels. They're awesome. I'm excited. 
PS - I wrote fanfic for Ilona Andrews yesterday at Odd Shots.

There right with you. I finally got a cool story idea while I was out in the car today. I think the key is that I was OUT-- no teens annoying me...just me:) Of course now I need to write the idea down, and write the story. LOL
