No longer at Smashwords

Posted by Jill Myles in Blog - Publishing Stuff

Hi all,

Just a quick note that if you purchase my stories through Smashwords, I am no longer going to be using their service. If you are international and wish to purchase, my books continue to be available at All Romance Ebooks, and the ones that are not up there at the moment will soon be available.

I'm sorry if this is inconvenient for anyone, but I won't do business with a company that does not provide adequate tax records or provide the proper documentation by the correct time frames that all other companies must follow. Their delays in producing required paperwork affect me personally and I won't let it happen again. It's a personal decision, and if you find that it makes my stuff unavailable to you (for whatever reason), drop me an email and let's chat.

Thanks!

Jill

    Hi Jill!
I'm not sure about your other international readers but I'm in Sweden and I buy almost all my e-books through Amazon's US site, the rest are from All Romance. Paper books I buy at the local book stores and the Science Fiction and Fantasy store has your paranormal stuff, yay! :)
Sucks that you had to make that decision though, but if they are that unprofessional it's the right decision to make! I hope it works out for the best!
    Kram!

  • i wasn't too thrilled with Amazon either....aren't they supposed to have the stuff to you by Feb. 1? mine did not come until the 6th. and the IRS doens't give a shit if THEY are late. I guess you're suposed to wait until April 15 to m ake sure everybody gets their documetns in.

    I agree, its ridiculous.
